Moto Z launched in India

Lenovo owned Motorola will launched its new smartphone Moto Z in India on October 4. The price of the Moto Z in India is not revealed . This announcement comes just a few days after Lenovo India’s Executive Director of Mobile Business Group, Sudhin Mathur said that the device would launch in India next month.

A media invite issued by the company has an image of a Motorola phone with the letter Z and it reads, “The innovation that’s worth the wait will be here on October 4 2016.”

The Moto Z was unveiled in June this year and features a 5.5-inch QHD display. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. It is available in two variants, one with 32GB of storage and another with 64GB of storage. However, the highlight of the Moto Z is the fact that it is a modular smartphone. The phone is available with several different modular components that can be attached to the back of the phone. The components are called Moto Mods and add new features to the phone such as a pico projector or offer 10x optical zoom. Another feature to note is that the phone does not come with a headphone jack and uses the USB Type-C port for audio.

The smartphone has NFC and fingerprint sensor. A 5 megapixel camera is in its front with wide angle lens. A flash light is also in the front for low light selfies. The Moto Z also comes with Turbo Power technology that claims to offer 8 hours of back up in just 15 minutes of charging and overall 30 hours of battery back up with full charge.
